Alyvia had her MRI.....and she did great!! It was done under GA since she has so many breathing problems. With general anesthesia they are able to better control Livie's breathing if something goes wrong (Which has happened in the past....) This time, though, Livie maintained her own breathing the whole time! Which is a first for her, so I was pretty excited about that and I was even more excited that Livie is TUMOR FREE!!! Yay! I can't even tell you how relieved I am (:
It's times like this that help me remember how grateful I really am for my wild, but precious little girl! ;)

- Alyvia is 4 years old. She loves dolls, Dora, and the trampoline. She had a brain tumor in her brain stem and had surgery on Sept 24, 2007 to resect the tumor. She spent almost 3 months at Primary Children's recovering from many complications (some of them being ARDS-lung disease, spinal meningitis and cerebellar mutism.) With cerebellar mutism Livie has had to re-learn quite a few things like talking and walking. She has since come a long ways! She really is our little miracle and has taught us the true meaning of love.

I don't think I would have known how really precious those three words, "a healthy child", can be, until I became a mom:) I'm so glad for such great news, we'll have to all go celebrate! Keep up the good work, I can only imagine how exhausting it must be to be a single Mom. You are doing great and have been truly blessed.

What Good News to read! I am Glad to know that Alyvia did & is doing so well. Next week is great for me. At the theatre in Blackfoot they are showing Charlotte's Web, Tuesday and Thursday. You want to get together for something like that, then come over afterwards?
yayy! Im so happy to hear "tumor free" I love that little Livie bug- I want her and Maggie to be friends! Thanks for the sweet comments- I get most of Muggs clothes from 'The Childrens Place' and 'Gymboree' and some times 'Target' But you should talk- Livie is always dressed to the nines too! LOVE IT.
